6.15 am
We woke up even more early today. After finishing our Subuh prayer, we decided to take a walk around the fisherman village. The village seems quite at early morning since it was weekend and most of the shops still close for business. While the sun still shy to shine brightly like a diamond making the morning more calm and  peaceful. Only few villagers seen operating their boat near the jetty. After that peacefully walk, we went back to our chalet and had our breakfast.

8.00am
Our main activity for today is Jungle Trekking! Suit up with long sleeves and track bottom, we were ready to start our hikes. Whether deep down in the sea or high up on the hills, we want to prove that we are not the nerdy pharmacists sunk in the pile of meds! Just name it. With the superheroes-like spirit, we go out from the chalet just to found out that it's raining... We were soooooo sad and wished that the rain to stop. Luckily, our wish come true not so long after that. hehe. Thank God for it. Without further ado, we started our journey by warming up near the seashore.
The road not taken. lol
happy faces 1st checkpoint :)

The jungle trekking schedule to take only 45 minutes from the fisherman village to Long Beach. but guess what?? We finished it within:

         1 hour 15 minutes!!!

Yess. that's true. That is because we get lose somewhere along the way and we make a u-turn to the correct lane. No worries dearies!! it would not happen to you. We can assure you that.. hihi. :)

although tired and lost, taking pic is a must!

Regardless of anything, we made it to the top.*clap-clap* yeahhh!!

10.00 am
We arrive around 10.00 am to Long Beach. Long beach surely left you mesmerized! Speechless..  Its white and smooth sand, its crystal clear blue-green-turquoise water with cotton candy cloud would make you fell trembling to your legs. It is love at a first sight <3 <3 <3. Everyone would go haywire by just looking at the scenery. No words could explain the beauty of Perhentian Island especially its Long Beach.

11.00 am
After taking so much pictures and playing games at the long beach. We move to our next pit-stop that is Coral Bay where Shari-la (our accommodation during the event) situated. The long beach and coral bay are connected with paved walkway. It takes less than 10 minutes walk to reach shari-la chalet. Here, we went to Shari-la to survey their rooms and accommodation.  If we were satisfied, then only we would decide to let the participants stay here. It still under discussion, so rest assure. Beside surveying this resort, we also want to try the heart pumping banana boat. Sadly, the services does not operate so we left for the Long beach and promise to come and try again this august.

Shari-la island resort awaits u this August!

its own small private beach

11.30 am
We went back to Long Beach because the water taxi that will takes us to the fisherman village will be waiting for us at 1.00pm there. While waiting for the water taxi to fetch us, we swam happily leaving the thought of this would end in a few hours. So, let enjoy it to the fullest! hehe. There is no one to be so be so mad like us to swim when the sun is right above the head.

2.00pm
We check out from the chalet and had our last lunch together at the Perhentian Island before leaving for Kuala Besut Jetty at 3.30 pm. It is so sad to leave here. Our heart had been falling for Perhentian Island just in 2 days. Now, its time to wake up for reality. Nevertheless, Perhentian Island will always be remembered!

Rocking Pulau Perhentian, Terengganu 1st day

Hello peeps!,
Have you already reviewed our trip to Penang? Still haven’t decided yet? Wait! Let we make you even more puzzled which one to choose. lol :0

Now it’s time to the so-called journey to the east…..sit back, relax and enjoy the journey. Situated on the northern east of Malaysia, Perhentian Island is a must visit island in this country. In Malay, Perhentian Island could be translated as “a place to stop by” and it definitely deserved the name.

8.00 am
Ringgg.. rinngg. rings. The alarm clock rings and bring us back from our deep sleep. Today is the DAY!  We woke up early to prepare ourselves for the journey. Spending last night at one of our friends house we were able to wash away our exhaustion of travelling 7 hour journey from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terengganu. We had “nasi dagang” as our breakfast. A special dish that you can only find in Terengganu! After finishing the finger-licking good breakfast, we precede our journey to Kuala Besut Jetty. Although it take us 1 and half hour to reach there, we could never been bored with the beautiful beaches and white sand that accompanied us along the way.

11.30am
We arrived at the Kuala Besut Jetty with mixed feeling: joyous, mysterious and enthusiastic . Everyone was so eager to reach Perhentian Island with the imaginary ideas of how this little paradise would look like. Since it was during school break, there were a lot of people going to Perhentian Island as well. There, we met with Mr Mat, our chaperon to the island.  The main transportation from the island to the mainland is by boat. Some tips to make your stay smooth: be sure to pack up your motion sickness meds, sunscreen, underwater camera and also hat. Remember 3 S Slip, Slop & Slap!!! Slip on long sleeves, slop on some sunscreen, and slap on a hat.

lets go... oh yeah!!

battling with the raged winds.

12.15 pm
In less than 1 hour, we already arrived at the fisherman village that is situated in the Perhentian Kecil or Small Island. Although still feeling dizzy and exhausted from the journey yesterday, but all of it disappeared as soon as we set our foot on the island. From the jetty itself, you could see how crystal clear the beach is! I bet you won’t believe your eyes..we either! Well, it happens. Hehe

it is heaven on earth

don't forget your sunscreen
 2.00pm

After check in to the chalet, now the most awaited part begans. We were taken to 3 famous spot for snorkeling that is shark point, coral point and turtle point. Since this is first time ever in our life to do snorkeling, we were very thrilled to witness the breathtaking view of the underwater world. The expressions of each and every one of us were priceless. Set aside your fear, put on your goggle and take the first dive by your own signature moves. If you are not a good swimmer let alone do not know how to swim, don’t be fret about it. Leave it all to the life jacket! No worries.
Coloured fish swimming carelessly around you, stunning artistic value of the corals, unidentified royal blue creature are views that you could not experiences everyday. We were too engrossed in the underwater world of wonder when the taxi driver call us up to move the the next point.  Regrettably, we do not have any underwater camera to take the picture. Only later that day, we discover that there are services to rent underwater camera. Ahhh, what a loss..

coral point. be ready to be mesmerized!

6.00 pm
We heed back to the chalet after we had enough with fish and corals. Some of us faced some difficulties to build the confidence and adjusting with the goggle at first but after series of gulping down the sea water, it came naturally and we could enjoy the view wholeheartedly. *Clap* clap*

8.00pm
The smoky barbeque awaits make us even hungrier. While waiting for the food to be cooked (which we cook ourselves), we had the opportunities to mingle with other visitors that came from another universities and some families too. It feels so homey and we exchanged our experience as the first-time snorkeling around the island with them.

sharing hilarious stories with new friends

10.00 pm
We take some time to feel the night breeze of Perhentian Island before going to the bed. There’s only one fisherman village on this island. With the capacity of less than 2000 peoples, this village are well occupied with schools, clinics, mosque, community service centre make it not so much difference from the mainland. After taking some photos, we get off to bed to prepared for the next day.

Stay tuned for the next day! J

Basically, the visit to Melaka can be done in one day, but alert, you need to be active and energetic to fullheartedly round throughout the Melaka central town! No wonder Melaka is known as one of the UNESCO World Heritage City.
